Tracking client progress and activity

Psychology Tools provides two ways to track how clients are engaging with resources:

  • Completed resources – shows work a client has finished and submitted (e.g. worksheets or exercises).
  • Client activity – shows general activity, such as logging in or viewing resources.

Viewing completed resources

You can review any work a client has submitted.

  1. Go to the Clients page.
  2. Select a client.
  3. Click Completed resources.

Here you will see a list of resources the client has completed. Selecting a resource allows you to:

  • View the client's responses.
  • Export the completed resource as a PDF.

Viewing client activity

You can also see how a client is using the platform, even when no work has been submitted.

  1. Go to the Clients page.
  2. Select a client.
  3. Click Client activity.

This includes actions such as:

  • Logging in to the platform.
  • Viewing psychoeducational resources.
  • Opening tools.

This is useful for understanding engagement, even when a client has not completed any exercises.

Viewing activity across all clients

You can track activity across your client list from the Activity page.

  1. Go to the Activity page.
  2. Use filters to view activity by client or activity type.

Activity types include:

  • Site accessed.
  • Resource submitted.
  • Resource viewed.
  • Tool opened.

Using this information in your work

Tracking completed resources and activity can help you:

  • Monitor client engagement.
  • Review homework between sessions.
  • Identify patterns (e.g. low activity or incomplete work).
  • Guide conversations in your next session.
