What is this Psychology Tools charge on my credit card?

Why am I seeing multiple charges on my statement?
We will only charge you once for each Psychology Tools subscription period. If you see more charges that you expect then the most common causes are: when a customer’s payment has failed, or when a foreign transaction fee has been levied.
- Payment failure: In these instances a bank authorization is posted to a bank account statement while the charge is pending. If a customer makes multiple payment attempts which fail then multiple authorizations may appear on the bank statement. Most banks will mark authorizations with a visual cue, such as the word “pending”, to identify it as an authorization. Typically, these authorizations are automatically removed without affecting your bank account balance as soon as the actual charge is applied. Some banks take up to two days to remove authorizations but you can verify this with your bank by calling the number on the back of your credit card.
- Foreign transaction fee: Psychology Tools is based in the UK. Some banks will levy a foreign transaction fee, typically between 1% and 3% of the total purchase price.
